video. ~ Shell's Wonderful World of Golf was a weekly television series that aired from 1962 through 1970 and was the first golf matches ever filmed for a television series. ~ This video is a golf match between Gene Littler and Byron Nelson, played at Pine Valley in the United States and was originally aired on February 4, 1962. ~ Pine Valley is heralded as the toughest golf course in the world. ~ Byron Nelson had 18 victories in a single year in 1945. ~ Incredibly, 11 were in a row!
