a. ~ The creation process that artist Debbie Berrow experienced while "birthing" this piece became a personal journey all her own. ~ As she formed her little sculpture with full hips, round belly, and bright laughing face, Debbie was thinking how it's OK for the Buddha to be fat. ~ However, the finished clay sculpture informed Debbie: "I'm not a Buddha, I'm a FAT WOMAN. ~ My message is not about 'Good Fortune', honey, it's about power no matter what your size!"
